Daytime Pottery Bootcamp - One Week Four Days!
This bootcamp pottery course teaches you hand building & how to throw on the potter's wheel! Open to all skill levels. Great for complete beginners or as a refresher or inspirator for potters!
So you want to play with mud? Get your feet wet, of should we say your hands dirty, in the art of pottery. Whether you're new to clay or not, our mud-loving classes will leave you brimming with the possibilities of clay!
Day 1: Handbuild. Experiment with slab building techniques or coils to create various projects with clay! We love hand building as it takes you outside the round. Once you have the basic hand building skills down it's a great way to create with clay at home.
Day 2: Throw An exciting part of class! When folks think of pottery, usually the wheel is what comes to mind first! Get behind one and give throwing a try. You will get muddy! Dress for the mess.
Day 3: Throw Give it another go! Throw some more pieces and challenge yourself from the day before, maybe now you can pull your cylinder taller, or handle a bit more weight!
Day 4: Trim & Decorate! Make your pieces uniquely yours! Trim, carve, attach handles and decorate with underglazes and transfers to make each piece unique to you.
Your pieces will be clear coated or choose from 2 glossy coloured glazes. Once glazed you pieces will available for pickup in 3-5 weeks.
