This workshop is focusing on various glaze application techniques, altering commercial glazes, as well as mixing commercial dry glazes.
Dive deeper into the world of glazing! Learn how to mix, match & alter commercial glazes! We will also be exploring glaze application techniques, how to make coloured slip & underglaze using mason stains, as well as a demonstration on how to mix dry commercial glazes.
Open to all skill levels.

We’ll be taking a lunch break during the workshop! Feel free to bring your own lunch or explore one of the nearby restaurants or coffee shops. Amaranth provides a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and panini press for student use.
Workshop materials include: Bisqued tiles and test tiles for glaze testing, one pint of commercial glaze to experiment with, and four 4oz containers for glaze mixing. You'll also be taking notes throughout the class to document your experiments and results.
